Semroc Starship Vega

Another one of those kits I dreamed of building in my early rocketry days! The Semroc Retro-Repro™ Starship Vega™ is the first of their upcoming Starship Series. The original Starship Vega was designed by Wayne Kellner at Estes Industries and was released as a futuristic planetary exploration vehicle in the style of illustrations by Frank Tinsley in the 1950’s. It was first offered in the 1971 Citation Catalog. There have been several re-releases of the kit in several sizes - the Semroc kit is faithful to the original in that it is equipped with a conical, rather than a ogive nose cone as some of the later versions were.
